Becoming a member of US Road Running has allowed me to keep health and fitness goals as I'm getting older (53), spend quality time with my son and meet like-minded people at convenient 5K races each month.
I have really enjoyed the handful of times I have been an ambassador with the Temple Texas crews. They are always so welcoming, friendly and supportive to me as a volunteer and the runners participating in the race. I will continue to volunteer as long as there will be races in Temple Tx
I love that there are always live relays and races in different states. I have been to one of the races in our Area and it was fun. I also love and enjoy doing the virtual races USSR has set up for all who are not able to get to live races. Keep up the good and well organized set up!
Love running these local races! Virtual and live 5K/10K/half marathons with cool medals for everyone- lots of good photos and manageable laps on the course, so all ability levels are celebrated. Smaller races are nice to talk and get to know other runners. Water and snacks always available at each race.
