River Runner Outdoor Center

I took two boys canoeing with a rental from River Runner Outdoor Center in Columbia, South Carolina. The staff was very helpful and helped load and secure the canoe to our vehicle. The price was very reasonable.

Anna and Jack were great to work with. Rented a canoe and all the gear for a very fair price. Anna had lots of advice and she and Jack helped load the canoe onto our vehicle. When we got to Congaree Jack just happened to arrive with a delivery of kayaks for another customer.

The owner, Guy, is one of the kindest people we’ve met in SC. He answered every question on the phone, helped us secure the kayak on our car and had recommendations for local restaurants and bars after. For 54$ all in this all day kayak rental was also very reasonably priced.

We rented a canoe for the day to paddle Cedar creek in Congaree NP. The staff helped us load the canoe on the truck and gave us pointers of how to get off/on by ourselves. He even gave us some tips for paddling the creek, since that is a popular spot for renters. The gear was well taken care of and in good condition.
